Climate    
   

The coastal area is hot and humid with a rainy season from March through May. The mountain regions are semi- temperate with the short rains coming in November and December and the longer rains are from February to May. The plateau region is drier with considerable temperature variations. The rains are heavier in the lake and mountain areas. Temperatures depending on location vary from 20 to 30C.

 
   
Money   Visa
     
The currency of Tanzania is the shilling which is divided into 100 cents. The import and export of the Tanzanian Shilling is illegal. Visitors may bring in as much foreign currency as they wish without declaration. Most credit cards are accepted at Hotels and shops. In Zanzibar foreign currency must be declared.
 
Most European nationals need a visa which can be obtained from the Consular section of Tanzanian Embassies and Consulates.
     

  How to get to Tanzania
   
  There are three international airports located at Kilimanjaro,Dar Es Salaam and Zanzibar. From Europe there are daily flights with British Airways, Lufthansa, KLM, Kenya Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines to name just a few.
